Graduate Admissions

Applicants to the Anthropology graduate program must

• apply and be accepted by the U of A Graduate School;
• have at least one undergraduate class in archeology and biological anthropology or take these courses as deficiency courses while in the graduate program;
• submit three sealed letters of recommendation from persons who can judge their potential for graduate studies;
• send a report of their scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE);
• submit transcripts from every college they have attended;
• indicate their GPA;
• submit a writing sample that demonstrates ability to produce original analytical work.

Admissions

All students who are accepted will be assigned to interim faculty advisors who will be responsible for initial advising.
